Golf Computer systems develops and markets a variety of software applications to the golf industry. In doing so, we gather limited client information which is used in support of sales and maintenance our software products. We do not pass on any client information to any third party.

Golf Computer Systems recognises the need for client privacy and is committed to applying the National Privacy Principles found in Australia's Privacy Act.

What sort of information do we gather and what is it used for?

Product licensing and registration
We keep records of the software products licensed to each of our clients, and the client staff contact, address details, telephone contact details and e-mail address.

Newsletter and promotional contacts
We keep a database of current and prospective clients, incorporating client names, associated golf courses, course addresses, e-mail address and phone contact details. This database is used to distribute promotional offers, general product information and periodic newsletters.

Technical support
We track support issues across our client base and record the contact details of persons initiating support requests. This information is used to facilitate efficiency in contact and resolution of support issues, while providing us with statistics on the frequency and types of issues reported per club and across our client base as a whole.

External contractors
From time to time Golf Computer Systems uses the services of external contractors for software development projects. Our privacy policies extend to such contractors, and it is a requirement that contractors used by Golf Computer Systems abide by the Australian Privacy laws.

GCS software compliance
To assist our clients in their compliance with the Australian Privacy Act and the application of the National Privacy Principles, Golf Computer Systems will provide opt-out provisions in the marketing modules of our applications to allow clients to prevent marketing material to be sent to members or prospects who have specifically requested to not receive such material.
